1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading the MyDocs Local Agent or using the mydocs.bot dashboard, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the software or the website.

2. Description of Service

MyDocs is a personal document assistant that operates primarily on your local hardware. It provides two modes of operation:

• Standard Knowledge Base: Utilizes local indexing but connects to third-party SOTA models (e.g., OpenAI, Claude) for processing.
• Private Vault: Operates in a local-only environment using Local Large Language Models (LLMs) to ensure zero data leakage.

3. User Responsibilities

As a local-first application, you acknowledge that:

• You are responsible for the security of your own computer and the ~/.mydocs data directory.
• You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining any API keys required for third-party model access in Standard Mode.
• You must comply with all local and international laws regarding the data you process through MyDocs.

4. Software License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the MyDocs Local Agent for personal or professional use. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our proprietary local agent unless permitted by law.

5. AI Content Disclaimer

MyDocs utilizes Large Language Models to provide insights. You understand and agree that:

• AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased ("hallucinations").
• Output should not be used as a substitute for professional legal, financial, or medical advice.
• We are not liable for any actions taken based on the AI's responses.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyDocs and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to data loss resulting from hardware failure, software bugs, or unauthorized access to your local machine.

7. Privacy

Your use of MyDocs is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which reinforces our commitment to your local data sovereignty.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
